IBI Celsius S3 Freeze-Thaw System

SMP Tech, Inc. designed and built the production version of the Celsius S3 Freeze-Thaw System for Integrated Biosystems, Inc. The Celsius S3 Freeze-Thaw System models a 100 L production system with a minimal amount of product. The Celsius S3 is specially designed for development studies, scale-up and scale-down processes and stability studies.

Applied Biosystems Prism 3700 Analyzer
 Bioscience DNA Design and Manufacture

SMP Tech, Inc. designed and built the Microtiter Plate Deck for the new ABI Prism 3700 DNA capillary electrophoresis analyzer. The Plate Deck is an assembly in the instrument used by Celera to sequence and assemble the human genome in just nine months.

Grace-Vydac 4-Inch Column MultiPacker
 Bioscience Redesign and Build


The 101mm (4-inch) MultiPacker Instrument provides the ultimate solution for in-house column packing. The MultiPacker allows users to pack and unpack 101mm Spring Columns quickly and conveniently. Because it employs hydraulic and pneumatic packing mechanisms, the 101mm MultiPacker uses no electrical power, making it safe for work with any type of solvent and a perfect solution for hazardous environments. The instrument is easy to use, requires very little training to operate, and is virtually maintenance-free. The MultiPacker/Spring Column concept is extremely versatile because the packing system is physically separated from the column and its internal axial compression subsystem. The unpacking and the cleaning processes are also highly simplified. The column bore and piston are easily accessible for cleaning when the column is unpacked, making the process simple, fast and efficient.
